We arrange the rows so each layer has a bit of air movement rather than packing everything tight, and we criss-cross the ends of a freestanding stack for stability so it doesn't lean or collapse as wood gets pulled from it. If you're covering it yourself afterward, we'll leave the stack at a height and shape that makes throwing a tarp over it straightforward.
Stacking takes longer than simply dumping a cord, so it's worth mentioning when you place your order rather than deciding on the spot — that way we can plan enough time into the delivery for it.
